Team K-man Board Minutes - 10-06-04

Call to Order
Meeting was Called to order at 6:54 pm at K-Man's home.All Board members were present.

Committee Reports:
•Membership/Treasurer - October 6, 2004, balance was $3,738.83. We still have a few outstanding members that seem to be participating and enjoying being a part of Team Kman. It was decided that the Treasurer and co-leader would contact the persons to see if they would like to continue to be a part of the team.
•Sponsors - no report
•Team Leader - Kass Flaig has stepped down as Team Leader for personal reasons. Kass is focusing her energy and committment to the team as swim coach. The team is so fortuante to have such an excellent coach. The Board acknowledged the dedication and enthusiasm Kass continually provided to the team. She is an inspiration to all members. The Co-Leader has been filling in for the past month.

New Business
Team Wear - Will remain at-cost for member purchase. It will be available at the next team meeting. Additionally, The Board approved $500 to provide for additional Team Wear that will be guaranteed to be provided at cost to Team Kman Members.

Sponsor Advertising; Newsletter - The Team Kman commitment to our sponsors will remain at its current level and no extra promotion or advertising is planned at this time.

Team Leader & Organization- The Board adopted an organizational chart. Team Leader(Keith Schmidt), Co-Leader(Mike Bickel), Swim Coach(Kass Flaig), Bike Leader #1, Bike Leader #2, Run Coordinator(Robyn Schmidt), Webmaster(Mark Glenesk), MemberShip/Treasurer(Penny Osmond), Sponsor Rep(Lance Field).

Team Purchases:The Board approved the expense of 15 plastic chairs for our Team Meetings. The Board also approved a $150 purchase of a used outdoor heater. The heater will be used at Team functions and other outdoor events related to Team Kman. The Board also approved the annual expense of $115 to move the Team website to a server. The website has been hosted on Mark Glenesk's free webspace through Charter, but the site is too large for the free service from Chaarter.

Non-paid members- We have a very few members that have not paid annual dues.

Annual Calendar - Co-Leader, Mike Bickel will work with the Swim Coach, Run Leader, and Bike Leaders to develop an annual plan of events. This will include KEY events that will become a focus for Team Members in their training.

Monthly Meeting - Will be October 16th, at Keith Schmidt's home at 6:00. Victor Plata will be our guest speaker. A $100 Honorarium will be provided Victor Plata.

Next Board Meeting is Scheduled for November 4th, 6:30 pm at Keith Schmidt's house.
